About the Course

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management provides the skills and knowledge required for the roles of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. This qualification also teaches people how to assume responsibility for their performance. Individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from various sources.

Course Structure

To attain the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, twelve (12) units must be successfully completed, consisting of five (5) core and seven (7) elective units.

Course Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. It is preferred that the students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent. Students will need to be able to access and use a personal computer including internet connection, word processing and spreadsheet processing software, for example MS Word and Excel.

Employer
Employers are responsible for providing workplace training and allowing trainees time for formal training. They should also provide training records from the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to assist with assessments. Responsibilities also include training trainees at work.

Trainee
Trainees are required to attend formal training and make satisfactory progress toward their qualification. All responsibilities can be found on the Skills NSW website.
