You will learn to provide training and support in a manner that empowers people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and well-being. To achieve a CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability, a total of 10 units are required to complete this qualification; seven (7) core and three (3) elective units. Entry

You must have completed one of the following courses:
• CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
(Disability) specialisation, or,
• CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
(Disability) specialisation, or,
• CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.
It’s preferred that students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent. As part of our commitment to safety, students will be required to complete and pass a NDIS Worker Screening Check, including a National Police Check in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing work. Students will need to be able to access and use a personal computer including an internet connection, word processing and spreadsheet processing software, for example MS Word and Excel.

These roles involve supporting individuals with disabilities in various settings, such as community organisations, residential facilities, and day support programs. Each role may have different responsibilities, but all centres around supporting, advocating, and caring for people with disabilities.
The CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability course combines virtual webinar delivery and workplace learning to equip you with essential workplace skills through hands-on learning experiences in the workplace.
You can discuss your delivery and assessment requirements with your Insight Training VET Teacher, and, where possible, alternate delivery/assessment strategies can be provided which may include components of on-the-job, off-the-job, assignments, distance education and e-learning. Learners’ Guides and course support material are available for all units.
In Disability Services, the work typically involves supporting individuals with disabilities in accessing resources, accommodations, and support services. This may include advocating for their rights, coordinating services, providing information and guidance, and ensuring accessibility in various environments. The goal is to inspire individuals with disabilities to lead as independent and fulfilling lives as possible.
