Why You Need to Start Your Childcare Career

Why You Need to Start Your Childcare Career

Children of today are tomorrow’s future. Over 85% of Australian children up to four years of age receive some care. Children in Australia spend more hours with early childhood educators during their formative years. This leads to early childhood educators having a greater influence on children in their care.

The first years of children’s lives lay the foundation for growth into adulthood, and the role of the early childhood educator helps shape Australia’s future generations.

Benefits of Working In The Early Childhood Education And Care Industry

Child Care Workers Are in Demand in WA

The great news for anyone interested in kickstarting their childcare career and working in early childcare education and care is that it is a growing industry. There is continued demand for trained early childhood educators across Australia, particularly in Western Australia (WA). WA has experienced an increase in both the number of childcare services and children attending childcare centres. Over the past four years, the number of government-approved childcare services in WA also grew by over 27% – which was the highest increase in Australia.

The number of children in WA attending childcare services is predicted to continue to increase, resulting in a continued high demand for early childhood educators. Changes to government policy are also likely to further stimulate demand for childcare services in WA.
