To work in a health support services environment, you must have up-to-date vaccinations. Vaccinations will be based on the work placement’s policies and their compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. At minimum, you should be up-to-date with your flu vaccinations; other immunisations that may be required are for Covid-19 and Hepatitis B. If we have sourced work placement for you, we will advise the vaccination requirements. Students sourcing their own work placement should enquire about vaccination requirements with the facility they plan to work for. The requirements around vaccinations and evidence might change while you’re studying with us. Changes will be in line with industry requirements and/or Australian Immunisation Guidelines.
