To attain the Certificate IV in Mental Health, 15 units must be successfully completed, consisting of eleven (11) core and four (4) elective units.

Work Placement Requirements

A minimum of 80 supervised working hours are required to complete this course. Work placement should be with an organisation involved in the delivery of mental health services to clients, such as aged care facilities, community mental health care services, residential mental health facilities or youth mental health services.
