About the Course

The Community Health and Wellbeing pre-traineeship offers Year 11 and 12 secondary school students an opportunity to kickstart their careers in the health and community services sectors while still studying at school. Upon successful completion, students can advance to further studies in the health and community services sector, pursue a related traineeship, or secure employment in the expanding health and community services industry. Potential work areas include allied health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait primary healthcare, Indigenous environmental health, aged care, disability support, and community care settings.

Course Structure

A total of nine (9) units are required to complete this qualification; six (6) core and three (3) elective units. Unit selection may vary dependent on delivery method and location.
