About the Course

This skill set is designed to provide both new and existing Community Services and Care/Support Workers with the knowledge and skills to provide care and wellbeing support to individuals in a community setting. You will gain the knowledge and skills to follow, safe work practices; follow and apply safe manual handling practices and infection control procedures; communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, management and other industry providers; and provide a first aid response to a casualty. The training focuses on support provided in a community setting.

Course Structure

To achieve a AF008 Community Support Skill Set, a total of three (3) units of competency must be completed.
