If you’re inclined to work as a care assistant or a family support worker for the ageing, the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) is a great course for you. This course is the first step in gaining the knowledge and practical experience to work in this rapidly growing industry. You will be given a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support. The practical work placement aspect of this course will give you the hands-on experience that you need to step directly into your new role.

Please note that CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) is available in Perth and regional WA, as well as Queensland.
To acquire this certificate, you must complete a total of 13 units of competency (seven core units and six elective units).
After achieving this qualification, students may undertake:
CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
It’s preferred that students have obtained a minimum of a School Certificate or equivalent. Students will be required to provide a current National Police Certificate prior to commencing work.

Insight Training’s selection criteria will take into account various factors when deciding upon which students will be offered places in the program including;
- The students’ needs and desired outcomes
- The ability and commitment of the students to complete the course;
- Eligibility requirements listed in the applicable National Training Package;
- Students existing ability in the ACSF core skills, (learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy)
Students not meeting these requirements will be directed to more suitable qualifications or skill development programs.
